Joyce Lucille Johnson, 76, a native of Lake Charles and resident of Ragley, died peacefully surrounded by her family and her birds on February, 17, 2014 in her residence.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son Carl Dean Johnson of Kappa, Kauai, Hawaii, daughter Tina Dartez and husband Marty of Ragley, brother, Clodile Romero Jr. of Lake Charles, one sister Jane Lorraine Brown of Ragley and a half sister Mary Bell VanWinkle of Lake Charles, four grandchildren; Kaye Lynn Johnwell, Ronald Dale Wallace Jr., Anthony Shawn Primeaux, and Joshua Adam Comeaux, eight great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband John Henry Johnson Sr., her parents Clodile Romero Sr. and Lorene Addison, two sons Gregory Boyd Johnson and John Henry Johnson, Jr., one daughter Pamela O’Quin, one brother, Jerry Don Romero, and one grandchild, Dawin Bertrand
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 21 2014 in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home Rev. Rick Batchelor will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and again on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of service
