Alice Roy Manuel, 90, a native of Eunice and longtime resident of Lake Charles passed from this life on May 26, 2017 surrounded by those she loved most.

Alice was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church and spent countless hours caring for those in need. She will be remembered as being extremely charitable and generous to all of those who asked of her.

She was welcomed into heaven by her husband, Dallance Manuel; mother, Hermena LeJeune Miller, step-father Joseph Miller, sister, Ophelia Schiller, father, Tobier Roy, and brother, Isom Roy.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters; Jo Ann Guillory and husband David of Ocala, FL and Teena Benoit of LeBleu Settlement, two sons of Lake Charles, Dallance James "Bawky" Manuel and wife Harriet and Craig Manuel, eleven grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and nine great great-grandchildren.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Monday, May 29, 2017 in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home from 4 PM until 9 PM. A rosary will be prayed at 6 PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 8 AM until time of service. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. The Reverend Vijaya Prakash Peddoju is to officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
