William Keith Pettit, (Bill), AKA (Whitey) of Moss Bluff, Louisiana passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at 2:22 PM in a local hospital. Born February 20, 1957. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Melvin Pettit, mother Ruth Madeline Pettit and sister Jo-Ann Pettit. He was a United States Marine, after his discharge he worked in the oil field before becoming a self-employed carpenter. He will be remembered for his wit and sense of humor. Baptist by faith he is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Dianna Pettit, three sisters, Donna Haley of Carlinville Illinois, Dianne Hilton and Lisa Vasaille of Moss Bluff, two brothers Tom and Bob Pettit of Carlinville, Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be buried in his hometown of Carlinville Illinois.
