Obituary for James Edward Martin
On Sunday, July 31, 2022, James Edward Martin of Houston, TX passed away at the age of 50.
James was born on March 12, 1972 in Houston, TX to James and Melody Martin. He was a military veteran having joined the United States Marine Corps out of high school. James had a passion for fishing and the outdoors. Nothing put a bigger smile on his face more than a fish on the other end of the line. He worked in many career fields to include advertising, oil and gas, telecommunications, mechanical, screen printing, assembly line, and the marine industry to name a few. He was never afraid to try something new or learn something new. He was known for being the life of the party, his laugh was infectious, and his smile would light up any room. He had a loving and compassionate spirit and was willing to help anyone in need. James had a true heart of gold; he was one of a kind.
James was preceded in death by his mother, Melody. He is survived by his two children, Justin and Tori, father, James (Jim), his three brothers, James (Danny), Jason, and Brian, as well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the Leblanc Cemetery, Kinder, LA 70648 at 11:00 am. Flowers may be sent to the cemetery directly.
