Obituary for Kody Raige Knowlton
Kody Raige Knowlton, 33, a resident of Lake Charles, La, passed from this life onto the next on February 19, 2022.
Mr. Knowlton will forever be remembered for his affable and fun-loving nature. His family describes him as charismatic, nonjudgmental, and generous to a fault. He was an MMA Fighter, loved playing guitar, and was known for his deep and critical thought process. Kody loved his five children dearly, possessed a strong work ethic, and was a “true ride or die.” He was a fantastic and dearly loved friend to so many and an amazing light in any room.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Lynn Clark and Olivia Clark, and his great-grandparents; Juan and Olivia Fernandez.
Kody leaves to cherish his memory: his mother Brenda Clark, his children Maxx Knowlton, Hendrix Knowlton, Landon Kral, and Santana and Sylvia Laughlin; sisters; Desiree Rogers and husband Jimmy and Tyleigh Fuselier Mayo and husband Robert, brother; Joseph Clark and niece and nephews; Kade and Erik Brown and Jaken and Jymma Rogers, uncles; Bryan Clark and wife Lissette and William Clark and wife Vanessa, aunt; Maritza Carreno and husband Lazaro, and a host of cousins.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 24, 2022, in the Chapel of Johnson and Brown Funeral Home in Iowa, LA, from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM. A time of remembrance will be held from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM. A celebration of Kody’s life will be held at 2:00 PM. Pastor Brent Keating is to officiate.
