Obituary for Joseph " Buddy" Lee Granger
Joseph “T-Buddy” Lee Granger, 83, passed peacefully from this life on February 2, 2022, surrounded by those he loved most.
T-Buddy, as he was known by most, was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather. He will forever be remembered for his easy-going nature, willingness to please those around him, and sweet disposition. He and Joyce were well-traveled both before and after retirement. T-Buddy enjoyed doing genealogical research. He also loved Cajun French music. He could play the accordion and was an accomplished dancer.
Mr. Granger is preceded in death by his parents, Aladin Joseph and Eva Moore Granger, grandson, Dillion Granger, and brother, Clifford Granger.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 59 years, Joyce Chesson Granger; daughter, Nancy Thomas and husband Troy; sons, David Granger and wife Donna Theriot Granger and Allen Granger; grandchildren: Victoria Thomas Leger and husband Joel and Karlee Thomas; brother, Jimmy Granger, and wife Linda; and sister, Juanita Ethridge, and husband, Lloyd.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. In the chapel of Johnson and Brown Funeral Home in Iowa. A rosary will be prayed at 11:30 AM. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM. Rev. Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Lakeside Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
