Obituary for Jackie Hooper Knox

Jackie Lynn Hooper Knox, 56, a resident of Moss Bluff passed peacefully from this life into the next surrounded by those who loved her most.

Jackie was a loving wife, mother, yaya, niece, and devoted friend. She loved life and lived her life to its fullest. Her grandson, Gunner was her world. Family was of the utmost importance to Jackie. She was their rock and glue. Jackie took great pride in gathering her family for Thanksgiving, Christmas, dinners, crawfish boils, and any other reason to gather family and friends. Most importantly, Jackie was a Christian. She knew Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and left all those who knew her an example of kindness, gentleness, helpfulness, and companions. In her spare time, Jackie loved to travel, going on cruises, and being a member of the Krewe of Tracas.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Rodney Knox; children, Khoury and Taylor Knox; one grandchild, Gunner Scott Knox and another grandson on the way, Oaklynn James Bellard; sisters Rhonda and husband Ricky Rodrigue and Anna Hooper and Jeremy; three brothers, Albert Donald Hooper and wife Kim, Alfred David Hooper and wife Paige and Timothy Hooper Jr. and wife Vivian; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends she has made along life’s journey.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Timothy Hubert Hooper, Sr. and Louella Mae Benoit; and brothers, John Victor Doucet and Harry Lane Hooper and numerous aunts and uncles.
