Obituary for Greg Martin Sarver
Greg Martin Sarver, age 58, a resident of Westlake, LA, passed from this life on March 23, 2021, surrounded by those he loved most. Greg fought the good fight, finished the race, and remained faithful.
Mr. Sarver lived a life of talent to fix or build home projects. He was one of a kind who never met a stranger. Greg possessed a heart of gold and was generous to a fault and gave without expecting anything in return. He shared his passion for the outdoors with his son Caleb. He was happiest spending time at his camp on Pecan Island. Greg held a unique mischievous quality about him. This was a trait that he shared with his siblings, friends, and coworkers.
Greg is preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Mathews Sarver; his brother, Doug Sarver, and longtime friend David Funk.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Amy Scalisi Sarver; son, Caleb Sarver; mother, Peggy Riquelmy; his three stepchildren; three brothers, Gilbert, Buford, and Robert Sarver; sister, Kim Sarver; Godchildren, Casie Doucet, Alex Funk, and Nichole Sullivan, and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 27, 2021, from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM in the chapel of Johnson and Brown Funeral Home in Iowa, LA. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Johnson and Brown Funeral Home in Iowa, LA. Mr. Sarver’s cremation has been entrusted to Johnson and Brown Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank Harbor Hospice's staff for the compassionate and excellent care given during Greg’s final journey.
