Janila Bradford LeBouef, 76, a resident of Lake Charles, was reunited with her husband and son that she missed so dearly on February 7, 2021, in a local hospital.

Mrs. LeBouef was a woman of unwavering faith and generosity. She was completely and totally devoted to her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed painting, crafting, collecting antiques, sewing, and spending time with her family. She was very creative and utilized her creativity to enrich the lives of others. Janila wrote and published her own book and, prior to that, owned a vintage shop called Precious Memories with her sister Patsy. She had a passion for toys and had a collection that was beyond imagination.

Mrs. LeBouef is preceded in death by her parents Alcy and Anna Laura Mitchell Bradford; husband, Ellis Marshall LeBouef; son, Mark Patrick Bradford “Marty” LeBouef; and sister, Sandra Bradford.

Janila leaves to cherish her memory her four children; Laura LeBouef Duhon and husband Edward, Loran Lane LeBouef, Tanya LeBouef Davis and husband Anthony, and Michael Chadwick LeBouef, her loving grandchildren: Lauren, April, Evan, Amanda, Heath, Shane, Luke, Lance, and Adam; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Patsy B. Young and Jo Polansky and husband Wayne; and brother-in-law, Lynn LeBouef.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 11, 2021, in the North Venue of Trinity Baptist Church from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM in the North Venue of Trinity Baptist Church. Reverends Randy Monroe and Jerry Parmentier are to officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.

The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation for her care by her son, Chad, the staff at St. Patrick’s Hospital, Kinder Retirement Center, and Dr. Lloyd Kelley.

Having lost my wife a year ago, I know the big hole in your hearts with the passing of your mom....but I can’t stop thinking of that joyful reunion with our Savior as well as your Dad and Marty.....

Please accept my heartfelt condolences in your loss of Janila. I had the pleasure of meeting Janila, her parents and her sisters in 1983 when I moved to Lake Charles. They were all beautiful people and God fearing. Know you all will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
