Obituary for Leonard P Rideaux

Leonard Paul Rideaux, 40, was a resident of Lake Charles. He ended his journey on this world at a local hospital on July 1, 2020

He was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Rideaux Brown

He worked as a truck driver for over 11 years. He took great pride in his profession. He was an avid wrestling fan, and loved watching movies on the weekends.

To his friends, he will be remembered as a wonderful storyteller and jokester with a great and sometimes silly sense of humor. Even if he didn't know you, you would want to. If he saw anyone down, it seemed like his goal was to always make someone laugh and smile.

To his family, he was a gentle, loving man who loved his wife and four children very much. He especially made his kids his world and the motivation to try to keep going, even when the world seemed to get him down. He would spend as much time as he could trying to set them on the right path, showing them hard work and determination are good characteristics for any profession. With his daughter, she was his heart. Every time he would hold her or see her, his smile would light up the world

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer F. Rideaux, their sons Joshiua F. Rideaux, Adam Rideaux, and James Rideaux; and their daughter Adeleai Rideaux; His mother, Gloria Rideaux, his father, Ademon Rideaux; brothers, Mitchell Rideaux and Nathan Francois, sister Christian Eva Francois and many other family members and friends who loved and cherished him

His cremation was entrusted by Lakeside Funeral Home. There is no service as he wanted everyone to remember him as the fun, loving, funny, gentle man he was and to keep his presence alive by remembering his life, not mourning his death
