It is with heaviest of hearts the family of Judith Lynn Pichon, 57, a resident of Lake Charles, former resident of Slidell, LA and native of Hartford, Connecticut, announces her passing on July 14, 2020 in a local hospital.

Judy as she was affectionately known was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and ferociously loyal friend. Judy possessed a strong work ethic and fought a tireless battle with numerous health conditions. She was employed by Wal-Mart for 24 years prior to her retirement. She became a licensed florist, and both excelled and enjoyed arranging floral tributes. Judy was a huge Disney fan and loved Beauty and the Beast.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Beverly Spear and brother, Kenneth Spear.

Judith leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving husband, Larry Edward Pichon; children, Patrick Pichon and wife Jillian and Meghan Pichon and partner Amber Henry; grandchildren, Ellie Pichon and Finn Pichon; siblings, Katherine Spear Skinner and husband James, Daniel Spear, Cheryl Hughes and husband Danny, Jonathon Spear, James Muir, and Paul Muir and a host of nieces, nephews, and fur babies.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. A celebration of her life will follow at 4:00PM in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Judy will be cremated.

Dear Larry,
Carol and I send our deepest sympathy for your loss. Although we cannot say we knew Judy, we both recall meeting her twice, both times with you. After talking with you once, then watching you walk away together, we both agreed that you and Judy clearly had a connection that most people would give anything to have. Only now do I learn that she loved flowers and flower arranging, a passion she shared with Carol. I hope you will find strength in your grief, and that in time thoughts of her will bring not sorrow, but a smile.

Dear Larry; It has been some years since we have spoken and it is quite sad that today I send you these thoughts. I am so sorry to hear you have lost your wonderful life companion. The two of you were inseparable and the connection between you was beautiful. I recall what courage she showed in her illness I knew about before I retired, I hope that you and the children and their families, especially your grandchildren, fill your heart with strength and love and eventually joy again.

I haven’t seen Judy since we graduated from Slidell High, but I am so sad to see she has passed away. I’ll always remember how sweet and fun she was in high school. My condolences to her family.
