Obituary for John F Peterson
John Francis Peterson, 61, a resident of Lake Charles, passed from this life on June 2, 2020 in the comfort of his home after a long and courageous battle with Glioblastoma.
John was a loving husband, father, and brother. John dedicated the last twenty years of his life to his job at St. Patrick’s Hospital and treasured his relationships with his work family. His dogs and cats held a special place in his heart. John adored his loving daughter, Audrey, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
John is preceded in death by his parents Francis Howard and Doris Adeline Hanish Peterson.
He is survived by his wife Julie Selby; daughter, Audrey Peterson; sister, Doris Ribbeck and husband Harold; brothers, Robert Peterson and wife Sallie, Stephen Peterson and wife Julie, and James Peterson and wife Connie and a host of nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Peterson will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family would like express their deepest appreciation to the staff of Christus Hospice for their compassion and assistance during this difficult time.
