Robert Bainbridge Coleman was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on May 22, 1939 to John Earl Coleman Sr and Evelyn Coleman. He graduated from Lake Charles High School in 1957 and McNeese State University in 1961 and he served in the Texas Army National Guard.
Robert worked in the retail business for many years until his retirement. He was an active civic leader and sat on several boards over the span of many years.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Earl Coleman. His sons Robert Bainbridge Coleman Jr, and Christopher Scott Coleman.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Catherine Dusek Coleman / Sulphur. His daughter Debbie Wright and husband Russell /Sulphur. His Brother John Earl Coleman Jr and wife Trish /Lafayette. His sister Peggy Oxford and husband Robert/Denver, CO. Grandchildren Cammie Fuller, Jordan Martin, Tori Coleman, Michaela Badon, Kelsie Wright, Blaine Wright, Mason Wright, Landon Wright. He is survived by 6 great grandchildren and a large host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of Mr. Coleman’s life will be held once gathering restrictions are lifted.
