Obituary for Francis Eugene Kelly
Francis Eugene Kelly, 79, a resident of Sulphur passed from this life on August 28, 2019 in a local hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Frank as he was known by many served with honor and distinction in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the United States Army and later from the Port of Lake Charles. He loved to fish and hunt in his spare time. Frank had a very sharp sense of humor. He was a dedicated husband and loving grandfather.
Francis is preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Louise Bartlett Kelly, wife; Annabelle Robbins Kelly, brothers, John, Walt, and Donald Kelly, and sister; Maggie Higgins.
Mr. Kelly leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughter, Rebecca Zaunbrecher and husband William of Vinton; grandchildren, Garrett Kelly and wife Ashley, Alayna, Madison, and Laurie Zaunbrecher, two great grandchildren, Dakota and Bentley Kelly, sisters in law; Darlene Kelly and Mary Kelly, and numerous nieces and nephews, and dog Bailey.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery where military honors will be rendered. Cremation has been entrusted to Lakeside Funeral Home.
