Obituary for Darrell Phillips
Darrell Wayne Phillips, 42, a resident of DeRidder passed from this life on August 7, 2019 in the comfort of his home.
“Buckshot” as he was known by many was a loving father, brother, and uncle. He possessed an amazing sense of humor and loved making people laugh. He was an outstanding provider for his family. In his free time, Darrell loved fishing, mud ridding, BBQing, and spending as much time as he could with his family and friends. His outgoing and gregarious personality will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Jewel Fowler Phillips, sisters; Phyllis LaBove and Emma Ryder, brother; Mark Phillips, and biological parents Roy and Verna Deshotel.
Darrell leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, McKayla Phillips and her mother, Kayla Spears Phillips, father; Bennie Phillips, sisters; Abbie Deshotel of Lake Charles and Frances Pruitt of DeRidder, brother; Lloyd Phillips of DeRidder, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Darrell’s wishes he will be cremated, and no services will be held.
