Obituary for Shanta Buchanan

Shanta Marie Johnson Buchanan, 50, a resident of Rosepine, LA passed from this life in the comfort of her home on August 2, 2019.
Mrs. Buchanan was a loving mother and devoted “Gammy”. In her free time, she liked spending as much time as possible with her children and grandchildren, listening to music, yard selling, and putting together puzzles. Shanta was a sweet, loving, and fun person. She was the neighborhood mom. She enjoyed making people laugh and knew laughter healed hearts and souls.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Edna Johnson and sister, Dana.
Shanta leaves to cherish her memory her three daughters; Kristina Lynch, Brittney Lynch, and Angela Buchanan, sister; Thresa Vaughn, brothers; Aron Rosenaur and William “Bubba’ Moore, grandchildren; Brian Buchanan, Joshua Avery, and Cameron Huckaby and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Buchanan will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held on August 17, 2019 at First United Pentecostal Church of Newton located at 101 Henson Street Newton, TX, 75966 at 11:00 AM.
