Rose Ann Voge, 77, a resident of Sulphur, LA passed from this life on June 7, 2019 surrounded by her family and endearing husband of 53 years.

Rose was born in Leesville, LA on September 26, 1941 to Mr. and Mrs. J.G. Alley. Rose and her husband, Max were wed in 1965. She was a graduate of Leesville High School. Rose received her Bachelor of Education from Northwestern State University and her Masters of Education and Masters Plus 30 of Education from McNeese State University. Rose taught hundreds of students in Calcasieu Parish throughout her 25-year career in the Reading Laboratory, one of the most important things in her life: how to read. She greatly enjoyed teaching.

Rose was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church, a fine participant with the Diamond Dancers, and a superb seamstress. She enjoyed bible studies, camping, and spending time with family and friends. Rose will be greatly missed by many.

She is survived by her husband, Max Voge; their son, John Voge; two grandchildren, Kristly Murphy, and her husband Blake, Garret Voge and his wife Megan, and two great grandchildren; Baylin and Bowen Murphy.
A gathering of friends will be held on June 10, 2019 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM in the sanctuary of Wesley United Methodist Church of Sulphur 423 Live Oak Street, Sulphur, LA 70663. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM. Rev. Sheri Zehner is to officiate.

Rose Ann was a real trooper and we will miss her greatly. With all of the talent she had and the loyalty she showed to her friends and family, I feel she was a true blessing during the days since we first met at Wesley Methodist. She was a really "crafty" person and we long ago exchanged my oil painting for her needlework of flowers. Rose Ann was grateful. I feel my oil was not nearly as beautiful or intricate as her perfect embroidery. When I look at the framed picture, I shall always think of her and know that she is probably doing some wonderful tasks in Heaven now. God bless her family as we walk through the sorrow of her new start in that blessed place. Dale Beglis Schanz

Sorry for the loss of your loved one. My  sympathy and condolences goes out to you and your family. The Bible calls Jehovah (Psalms 83:18) the source of life Acts 17:24,25 so have faith that Jehovah is certainly capable of restoring life to someone who has died so be assured that you will see your loved one again. Jehovah sees death as the enemy 1 Corinthians 15:26 and I pray he gives you comfort in your time of need. There have been eight instances in the Bible of humans young, old, male, and female who Jehovah brought back to life on earth John 11:39-44 and he yearns to bring back your loved one who are in his memory Job 14:14,15. I pray that Jehovah of comfort gives you strength and the ability to endure during this time and that you rely on him when you feel weak. In Jesus name I pray Amen
