Obituary for Betty Jean Youngblood Fruge (Moore)

Betty Jean Youngblood Fruge, 84, a resident of Lake Charles passed from this life onto her eternal reward on January 21, 2019 in the comfort of her home.
Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She possessed a strong will and was very involved in her children and grandchildren’s lives. Betty was a member of Victory Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir and played an active role in the Bus Ministry. She was extremely family oriented and devoted to her church. A woman of strong faith, she knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
Mrs. Fruge is preceded in death by her parents Willis Hubert and Mary Bell Ayers Moore, her two husbands, Loyd Youngblood and Houston Fruge, Sr., her sister, Opal Ootz, and her brother, Jake Moore.
Mrs. Betty leaves to cherish her memory her four loving children, Donna Kingham Rosteet and husband Jerry of Moss Bluff, Jean Youngblood of Hayes, Dennis Youngblood and wife Pam of Moss Bluff, and Guy Youngblood and wife Jan of Lake Charles, four stepchildren, LaDonna Shifflett and husband Cole, Lonnie Fruge and wife Paula, Jim Fruge and wife Shona and Jerry Fruge, twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 9:00 AM until time of service. Funeral Services will be held on January 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Pastor Wayne Dartez is to officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
