Obituary for John Clay Hurd
John Clay Hurd, 62, a native of Flint, MI and longtime resident of Zachary, LA passed from this life into the next on December 8, 2018 in Lafayette, LA after a brief and tragic illness.
John was a loving brother and friend. He will be remembered fondly for his sense of humor and kind and compassionate nature. Though Johns was quiet and reserved he possessed a unique ability to forge strong and unwavering friendships throughout his life. He loved his two nephews dearly and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible.
John is predeceased by his parents, Clayton E. Hurd and June Elizabeth Wetmore Hurd.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving sister, Andrea Hurd Nichols and husband Richard and his nephews Christopher Liphgoe and wife Ashely and Benjamin Liphgoe.
In accordance with John’s wishes cremation was accorded under the direction of Lakeside Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
