Obituary for Tammy Pike Manuel

Tammy Sue Pike Manuel, 59, a life long resident of Lake Charles passed suddenly from this life on November 21, 2018.

She proudly attended Lake Charles High. Tammy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She possessed a very giving and generous nature. Tammy was so proud of her grandchildren and took an active part in their and her children’s lives. One of her greatest prides was caring for and cooking for the army that was her family. Having family roots in Tennessee she loved visiting the area every chance she could. She was looking forward to an upcoming trip to Disney World with her grandchildren. In her spare time she loved bowling, picking pecans, dancing when she was younger, and playing buooray with her sisters. Her family knows she had a place in heaven waiting for her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl W. and Shelby Jean Pike, her mother and father in law, Vivian and Floyd Manuel, and granddaughter, Kyleigh Elizabeth Manuel.

Tammy leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 40 years, Jay Manuel; three daughters, Jessica Manuel and significant other Scott Waldrop, Jackie Manuel, Jillian Cunrod, and son, Jayson Manuel, sister, Nancy Desormeaux and husband Jeff, Debbie Esthay, Brenda Vezina and husband David, Sabrina Putters and husband James, brothers; Earl Pike and wife Candy, Barry Guidry, and Michael Pike, grandchildren; Anthony, Jaryn, and, Kayleigh Manuel, Trey, Beaux, and Cami Cunrod, and her Uncle and Godfather, Frank Marcenac, her Godchildren, George Blofeld and Crystal Broussard, her son in laws ; John Lofton, John Bushnell, and Ray Cunrod, and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors ‪on Friday, November 23, 2018‬ in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home ‪from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM‬. A rosary will be prayed ‪at 6:00 PM‬. Visitation will continue ‪on Saturday, November 24, 2018‬ in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home ‪from 8:00 AM until 10:15 PM‬. Mass of Christian Burial will be held ‪at 11:00 AM Saturday‬ at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Monsignor Jace Eskind is to officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
