Obituary for Leann Hartman Cormier

LeAnn "Annie" Hartman Cormier, 38, of Lake Charles, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 in her family home. Born and raised in Lake Charles, she graduated from LaGrange High School where she made many lasting friendships.

At the age of 20, Annie gave birth to her daughter, Emily Tayte Cormier, who they affectionally named each other in their cell phones as "Best Mom In The World" and "Best Daughter In The World." Annie's love for Emily was without question and she was always very proud of the incredibly bright and accomplished young lady she had become and was continuing to be.

After taking some time off to focus on motherhood, Annie returned to her passion for retail, especially in outside gardening. She was very organized, meticulous and no flower or plant would die under her watch. Annie had a zeal for life that was contagious and it was rare to meet her without a smile on her face. She also loved to cook for her whole family, though clean up of the dishes wasn't always her strong suit as it was more important to her to enjoy the meal while binge watching television with the family. Annie also enjoyed cross-country trips with the family in the RV or simply mini-weekend vacations in the RV at Sam Houston Park.

Left to cherish her memory is 18 year old Emily Tayte, in addition to Annie's parents, Deborah and Ronnie Hebert, sisters Marcie Hartman and Darcy Hartman, and brothers Jesse Hartman and Brian Trahan. Preceding her in death is Maw Maw Billedeaux, our beautiful yellow butterfly, who has undoubtedly already wrapped her arms around Annie's neck. Annie was cherished by many and for those who knew her, will be forgotten by none

Annie's cremation was entrusted to Lakeside Funeral Home a private memorial service will be held at a later time.
