Carla Allene Pottorff, 77, a resident of Lake Charles passed peacefully from this life on May 19, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Carla was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the “apple of her eye.” She was a kind and gentle soul who was very social and loved being around her family and friends. She retired from St. Pats Hospital after many years of dedicated service. In her spare time, Mrs. Pottorff enjoyed charity work, bargain shopping, and spending time with her high school classmates from Sulphur High School’s Class of 1958.

Mrs. Pottorff is predeceased by her parents, Demps and Florence Martin Gilstrap.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Jimmy Pottorff and wife Michelle and Melynda Fruge and husband Willbee, her adoring grandchildren: Mendy Rowe and husband Chris, Tanner Tittsworth, Megan Pottorff, Austin Pottorff, and Dani Pottorff, great grandchildren: Merritt, Harper, Levi “Biscuit”, Ethan, Matthew, and Gwendolyn, one sister, Linda Oliver, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 5 PM until 9 PM in the Chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 9 AM until time of service. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Tanner Tittsworth, Austin Pottorff, Josh Oliver, and Quinton Oliver. Serving as Honorary PallBearer is "Biscuit."
