James “Mack” Pearce, 84, a resident of LeBleu Settlement passed from this life on April 8, 2018 in a local hospital.

“Mack” as he was known was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He was a dedicated family man and served with honor in the United States Army. He enjoyed watching Gunsmoke, playing cards, and Wa-hoo. He retired after 30 plus years of service with PPG.

He is predeceased by his parents; Hershel and Laura Barrett Pearce,wife of 55 years, Ardella G. Fruge, siblings, Ruth Cayton, Mabel Spell, Dorothy Bordelon, Joyce Dutton, Goergie Burke, Lucille Juskie, and Hershel Pearce, Jr.

Mack leaves to cherish his memory his loving children: Sonya “Tooty” Ruth Hoffpauir and husband Darrell of Gueydan, LA, Vicki Sue Elkins and husband Robert of Richard, LA, and Robert “Bobby” Blaine Pearce and wife Mona of Sweetlake; grandchildren, Shawnee Pearce, Wyatt Pearce, Joshua Elkins, Nathaniel Hoffpauir, and Samuel Hoffpauir; great granddaughter, Ryann Mae Hoffpauir and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of service in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Funeral service will he held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 2:30 PM in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne LeBleu is to officiate. Burial will follow will military honors at Highland Memory Gardens.
