Obituary for Ervin Joseph Lejeune

Ervin Joseph Lejeune, 67, a resident of Lake Charles passed from this life on January 26, 2018 in a local hospital.
Ervin was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and brother. He was very proud of his family and Cajun Heritage. He had a deep love of Cajun Music and played the accordion and fiddle. He was an accordion builder under the trade mark “Professional”. He worked daily to provide for his family and was a jack of all trades. In his lifetime, Ervin welded, was a carpenter and did countless other things to provide for them. He loved fishing, was an avid outdoorsman, and loved spending time with grandchildren and making sausage with his family.
He is predeceased by his parents; Iry J. and Wilma Blanchard Lejeune, brother, Eddie Lejeune and sister, Elsie Richard.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 34 years Sonya Faye Lejeune; sons, Jason Ray Lejeune and wife Falisha and Ervin I. “Bubba” Lejeune and wife Theresa; daughters, Denise Navarre and husband Johnny and Tracy Lejeune and husband Tim Kerrigan, brothers, Willie Lejeune and wife Linda and James Lejeune and wife Barbara; sister, Paula Sue LeJeune and husband Terry, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2018 in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM. Visitation will continue at 9:00 on Monday, January 29 until time of service. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
