Obituary for Michael Wayne Vallien

Michael Wayne Vallien, 59, a resident of Lake Charles was born on September 17, 1957 and passed from this life into eternal rest on June 23, 2017 in the comfort of his home.

He will be remembered as a loving father, brother and friend. Michael possessed a strong work ethic, was kind hearted, and an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Before he retired, he was a carryout at Market Basket for many years.

Michael is predeceased by his parents; Joseph and Mamie Jones Vallien, grandparents; Joseph T. and Josephine Gantt, brothers; Leonard Vallien Sr. and Johnny Kornbacher and sister; Cynthia Marie Kornbacher.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children; Tina Vallien, Keisha Melanson (Dion), Lynnette Melason, and Mary Vallien (Durrell), sisters; Wilda Booker (Samuel) , Joyce Vallien, Delia Cane ( Patrick), Mary Vallien ( Troy), brothers; Larry Foster (Linda), Leroy Chaisson (Angela), Curtis Vallien, Lyndon Vallien (Constance), and Greg Vallien (Tina), aunts; Emma Brazier, Elizabeth Kornbacher (Clifford), Kay January (Jessie).

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Friday, June 30, 2017 from 4 PM until 8 PM in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 8 AM until 10:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Rev. Wayne LeBlue is to officiate. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
