Obituary for Marjorie Mary Darbonne (Guillory)

Marjorie Mary Guillory Darbonne, 79, a resident of Lake Charles passed from this life onto her eternal reward on May 13, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones..

Mrs. Darbonne will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She was an amazing artist and was giving and generous to a fault. She was a good cook and caterer and dedicated her life to her family which was the very center of her entire world.

Marjorie is predeceased by her parents Victor Guillory and Virginia Freddie Guillory, husband Joseph Paul Darbonne, and daughters, Kathy Marie Darbonne and Maritza Isabella Darbonne, granddaughter, Meghan Dise, brothers, Leonard Guillory, Sr., Ernest Guillory, Dennise Guillory, Chester Guillory, and Albert Guillory.

She leaves to mourn her loss and cherish her precious memory her two sons; Murphy Joseph Darbonne and wife Debra, and Roland James Darbonne; two daughters; Juanita Darbonne Fontenot and Patricia Mae Darbonne; four brothers, Wesley Guillory and wife Odelia, Slim Guillory and wife Edith, Hubert Guillory and wife Sally, and Raymond Guillory; two sisters, Anna Mae Fontenot and husband Caldwell and Bridget Guillory, her loving grandchildren: Jeremy Joseph Darbonne, Casey James Darbonne I, Melodie Lashae Darbonne, Holly Ann Simien, Kerry Michael Darbonne, and Kodi Carrington Mathis-Darbonne, and nine great grandchildren.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Saturday, from 9 AM until 12:30 PM in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM. Mass of Christian burial will celebrated on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1:00 PM at St. Margret's of Scotland Catholic Church. The Reverend Vijaya Prakash Peddoju is to officiate. A private burial will be held at a later date.
