Mary Belle Doane Hames, 92, was born on February 6, 1925 and passed from this life on February 10, 2017 in a local care facility.

Mrs. Hames graduated from Lake Charles High School and later attended McNeese Junior College and then graduated from Texas Women’s University. She served as the Director of Campfire Girls for many years.

She is predeceased by her parents Homer and Opal Doane, her husband Hamp Hames, and son, Eric Hames.

Mary Belle leaves to cherish her memory her granddaughter, Sarah Landry and husband Tyler, great grandchildren Augustine and Adelaide, niece and nephews, Sue and Mitch Frazer and Chris Costello, and a host of Great nieces and nephews.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Monday February 13, 2017 in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home from 5 PM until 7 PM and again on Tuesday from 9 AM until time of service. Funeral services will he held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Weldon Barres is to officiate Burial will follow at Prien Memorial Park.
