Barbara Kay Goad, who hated to be called Barbara, she much preferred Kay, went home to be with her Lord on August 25, 2016. She loved to travel, her first job was a stewardess, which allowed her to help people and travel, two of her passions. She also had careers in education, cake decorating, and retail management. She was loved by many and will be missed. Undoubtedly, she was ready for her next journey, as she never was the kind to stay in one place too long.
She is survived by her sons, W. Shane Goad, who inherited her disdain for first names, of Lake Charles and Thomas Goad of Hot Springs AR. Kay also leaves behind four grandchildren, one great grandchild, and numerous friends all over the country
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 29, 2016 from 5:30 PM until time of service in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. A celebration of Kay’s life will be held at 6:30 PM. Rev. Weldon Bares is to officiate.
