Gary Wayne Ackley, 65, a resident of Lake Charles died peacefully on May 20, 2015 in a local hospital.

Gary was a loving husband, father, brother and son. In his spare times he loved duck hunting and fishing. He was an avid sports fan and a loyal Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He owned and operated with his family Custom Carpet Service and Ackley Carpet Cleaning.

He is predeceased by his parents Montie and Lucille Hughes Ackley and his wife Judy Ramoin Ackley.

He leaves to cherish his memory his two sons Victor Kyle Ackley and wife Amber Miller of Lake Charles, Joseph Trent Ackley and wife Brandy of Holmwood, his fiancé Debra Duhon, three brothers, Ricky Ackley (Denise), Kevin Ackley (Vera), and Keith Ackley ( Janice) one sister Sandra Chauvin (Ronnie), his two grandchildren, Kerrigan Ackley and Kadence Ackley, and step-grandson Cainon Jenkins.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue at 8:00 AM on Friday until time of service.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Monsignor James Gaddy is to officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery.

In lieu of customary remembrances the family request that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
