Arthur George Ogden
Arthur George Auggie Doggie Ogden, Jr. 69, a native of Rockville Center, New York and a resident of Moss Bluff passed away on November 26, 2013 at Noon surrounded by his family.
Auggie will be remembered for his caring nature, upbeat personality, and upfront nature. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He fought this great battle with a gleam in his eye, a smile on his face, and faith in his heart.
Auggie leaves to mourn his loss and cherish his memory, his wife, Joan Alice Stelly Ogden, his three daughters; Tanya Marie Ogden-Landry and husband Richard of Moss Bluff, Jeri Ann Ogden-Miller and husband Jeff of Plano, TX, and Andrea Elizabeth Ogden-Lagrange and husband Lonnie of Abbeville, LA, one brother, William Ogden of Las Vegas, NV, two sisters, Lori Ogden-Wilheit and husband Skip of Salem, Alabama, and Shelia Ogden-Rambeck and husband Steve of Atlanta, GA. He leaves behind his ten grandhchildren: Heather Richard, Brittany Arabie and husband Michael, Christopher Smith, Stephanie Landry, Dustyn Smith, Martika Miller, Cord Miller, MaKayla Miller, Victoria Miller, and Anthony Janice and nine great grandchildren, Jonathon Brooks, Kolton Lyons, Caydence Lyons, Kallen Morvant, Cariana Morvant, Emma Arabie, Sean Arabie, Dylan Arabie, and Dezeree Arabie. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur George Ogden, Sr. and BiBi Hunt his mother in law Mildred Stelly, father in law Hubert Stelly son in law Leonard Charles Morvant and brother in law James Preston.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Dustyn Smith, Anthony Janice, Christopher Smith, Roger Benoit, Cord Miller, and Chris Hebert. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alton Hurst and his great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Theodore''s Catholic Church in Moss Bluff on Monday December 2, 2013 at 10 AM with Monsignor Charles Dubois Officiating burial will follow in Gueydan Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home on Sunday, December 1, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Monday from 8:00 AM until 9:20 AM. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM on Sunday evening. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Dody, Robin, Anita, and Dr. Errol Wilder with Amedysis Hospice for their professionalism, comfort, and care during this difficult time.
