Obituary for Kenneth Hicks
Kenneth Ricky Hicks was born August 4th, 1962 in Tehachapi California to Adelay Elizabeth and Robert Leroy Hicks. Kenneth passed away November 16th, 2019 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Kenny was a kind soul that would do what he could to help anyone that was in need. He enjoyed caring for and raising the animals in his care, sharing that love of animals with friends, helping the local children in 4-H, and it was his dream to have a large farm with animals so all children could share his passion of 4-H.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his mother Adelay Elizabeth (Kaye) Martin, his grandmother Adelay Elizabeth Bassler, and his sister Katheryn Hicks.
He is survived by his stepfather Karl Martin, two children; Shane Hicks and wife Paula and Lacie Crick, grandchildren: Zachary, Kirsten, Aaron, Aidan, and Ellie.
The family would also like to extend a significant gratitude to Mrs. Ashley Doucet who was a good friend to Kenny and provided comfort to Kenny is his final days.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers and cards, please donate the funds to an animal rescue of your choice in honor of Kenny.
Funeral services will be held in 2020 in Tehachapi California. Cremation has been entrusted to Lakeside Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
