Obituary for Mary Ruth Soileau
Mary Ruth Ogea Soileau, 67, a lifelong resident of Lake Charles passed from this life on November 29, 2018 surrounded by her family.
Mary was devoted to her family. She was a tenacious warrior and a woman of unwavering faith. She served her Lord and Savior in everything she did. She was the backbone of her family and took great pride in all they did. Her family will forever remember her as someone who was never afraid, always being meticulous in all that she did, and never gave up on her children.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Elray and Opal Demarets Ogea, and her husband, Raymond Soileau, Sr.
Mary leaves to mourn her loss and cherish her memory her three children, Raymond Soileau, Jr. and wife Heather of Lake Charles, Rebecca Soileau and fiancé Jacob Meche of Lake Charles, and Nicole Alexander and husband Russell also of Lake Charles, her loving grandchildren, Bailey, Chris, Caiden, Alex, Ben, Kaylee, Levi, Eli and Owen, and three sisters, Theresa Ogea-Cox, Arlene Ogea, and Shirley Ogea-Cox.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 8:00 AM until time of service. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM. Pastor Doyle Evans is to officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
