George Wayne Rosie, 71 a resident of Edgerly passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on July 12, 2018.

He worked for PPG industries as an electrician for 28 years until his retirement in 2004. He spent his retirement doing what he loved; attending auctions, traveling, working on tractors, and spending time with his family and friends. He never met a stranger and was a dear friend to many.

He is predeceased by his parents; Hilda Kibodeaux and Murdock Rosie.

George leaves to cherish his memory his 2 daughters; Gayle Beeler and husband Scott of Edgerly and Karrie Vining and husband Ryan of Carlyss; wife Penny of Wyoming; step sons Josh Kibodeaux and wife Candice of New Orleans and Jonathan Kibodeaux and wife Stephanie of Wyoming; 7 grandchildren; Wayne Beeler and wife Maranda, Corbit Beeler, Alyssa and Cole Vining, Aaron and Keely Kibodeaux, and Selena Kibodeaux; and 1 great grandchild; Kenzie Beeler. He also leaves behind 1 sister; Marlene Rayburn of Edgerly; and close friends; Ed and Becky Peterson of DeQuincy and Marlene Trahan of Edgerly.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 18th, 2018 from 11am to 3 pm at the Antioch Baptist Church building at 2161 Edgerly Dequincy Road.
