Obituary for Verna May Rudd (Chapman)

Verna May Rudd passed away peacefully on May 24, 2017 in her home in Gillis, LA. surrounded by her loved ones.

Verna was born August 21, 1935 to Henry and Essie Chapman in Jasper, Texas.

She was raised in the Peachtree Community and had recently moved to Gillis, LA to be near her family. While living in Jasper, TX, she was an Active member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Henryetta Whitehead.

She is survived by her loving husband Elmer Ray Rudd of 61 years, son Kenneth Rudd and wife Ann all of Gillis, grandsons, Chris Theriot and wife Cassie, Daniel Rudd and wife Cassie, three great grandchildren Cameron and Emma Theriot and Tucker Rudd all of Moss Bluff and two sisters, Francis Mott and Callie Caldwell.

Her wishes were to be cremated and to not have services. In lieu of flowers, your love, support and prayers are appreciated.
