Jessie Mae Kennedy Manuel, 77, a resident of Sulphur, LA passed peacefully from this life on April 1, 2017 surrounded by those she loved most.

She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. In her spare time, Jessie expressed her artistic talents through painting and sketching. She enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with family and friends. She was fiercely independent and possessed a strong faith in God.

She is predeceased by her parents James and Vernie Mae Fruge Kennedy.

Mrs. Manuel is survived by her two sons, Keith and wife Tammy Manuel of Huntsville, AL and Kent Manuel of Sulphur, two brothers, James F. Kennedy and Harold W. Kennedy, one sister, Mary Ann Flowers, and two loving grandchildren, Kody Manuel and Dillon Manuel.

A visitation with the family will be held today, on Monday, April 3, 2017, from 4 PM until 6 PM. A Celebration of her life will follow at 6 PM in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Cremation has been entrusted to Lakeside Funeral Home.
