Obituary for Samuel Bellomo Sr.

Samuel  Bellomo Sr.
Samuel T Bellomo, Sr., 64, a lifelong resident of Lake Charles passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 in a local hospital surrounded by his family.


Sam was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley Motorcycle. He faithfully followed the LSU Tiger and the New Orleans Saints. Mr. Bellomo retired in 2016 after 43 years in the Oil Industry. He was an active member at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, where he served as an usher and made his ACTS Retreat.


He is predeceased by his parents Sam Bellomo and Catherine Amelia Gilbert Bellomo.


Sam leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Eva Rita Duhon Bellomo; sons Sam Bellomo, Jr and Wife Nicole Kocik Bellomo, and Troy Bellomo; and sister, Mary Prejean of Lafayette.


Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home from 4PM until 8 PM. A Scripture Service will be held at 6:30pm. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Lakeside Funeral Home from 9 AM until 12:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church at 1 PM. Monsignor Danny Torres is to officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
