Julius Mitchell "Mickey" Robertson Sr., 81, a native of Hornbeck, LA and longtime resident of Westlake passed from this life into the next on January 16, 2017 surrounded by his family.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be remembered for his hard work ethic and love for animals. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hunting, and fishing.

Mr. Robertson is predeceased by his parents Aimon and Mattie Bell Mitchell Roberston and one brother A. J. Robertson.


Mickey leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 58 years, Norma Murray Roberston, daughter, Melissa Roberston, sons, Julius Mitchell Robertson, Jr. and wife Peggy and David Michael Roberston and wife Carol, brother Jerry Lynn Roberston and wife Mattie Lou, grandchildren, Mitchell Robertson and wife Diana, Gary Robertson and wife Tiffany, and Samantha Soileau and companion Doug, and his great grandchildren, Savannah, Kayley, Taylor, Breann, Alan, and Hunter.


Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time of service. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the funereal home Wednesday, January 18, 2017. Cremation has been entrusted to Lakeside Funeral Home.
