Roger Schexneider, 80, a resident of Lake Charles passed from this life on October 8, 2016 in a Broussard Care Center.

Roger affectionately known as “Red” was a masterful carpenter. He loved fishing, camping, and model trains.
Red is predeceased by his parents Raney Schexneider and Sylvia Hargrave Schexneider, wife, Joann Perkins Schexneider, and daughter Sandra Schexneider.

Mr. Schexneider is survived by his two sons; Roger Schexneider, Jr and wife Gayle of Moss Bluff, and Steven Ray Schexneider and Jeannie of Moss Bluff, three daughters, Connie Sue Hebert and husband Jody of Scott, LA , Tammy Hanks and husband Anthony of Moss Bluff, and Charlotte Manuel and husband Kirk of Moss Bluff, sister Jean Flick of Moss Bluff, 16 grandchildren , 20 great grandchildren, and best friends Buck and Ruth Daley.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on October 11, 2016 in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home from 10 AM until time of service. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Pastor Glenn Massey is to officiate. Burial will follow in Old Ritchie Cemetery.
