Obituary for
Ronald L. Cady
Ronald Lee Cady went to be with his Lord and Savoir, Jesus Christ on May 9, 2016 at the age of 73. He was born January 14, 1943 in Iowa, LA to the late Jessie and Tessie Cady. He lived most of his life in Lake Charles.
Ron graduated from McNeese in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology. He returned to McNeese and graduated again in 1974 with a Masters of Science Degree in Environmental Science. Ron was employed with PPG for 18 years then with DEQ for 26 years where he retired in 2015. Ron spent his life loving and nurturing nature. He was presented with an award for his devotion towards nature by Restore in April of 2016. He was a humble man who was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
Ron was preceded in death by three sisters, Bernice Ayo, Jo Ann Broussard, Caroline Cady, and one brother Jessie Cady Jr.
Ron is survived by is wife of 33 years Lorrie Cady and their children. Robert Cady and wife Stacie of Lake Charles, LA, Randal Cady and wife Winnie of El Paso, TX, Richard Cady of Orangefield, TX, Shannon Parker of Mouton Cove, LA, Cori Cole of Deweyville, TX, Amanda Parker of Mouton Cove,LA, Tiffany Williamson and husband John of Lake Charles, LA.. He also had 17 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Ron is also survived by two sisters, Roberta Bourgeois and Dolores Borel both of Iowa, LA.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Wednesdays, May 11, 2016 in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home from 4 :00 PM until 9:00 PM. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of service. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, May 12, 2016. Mr. Cady's cremation has been entrusted to Lakeside Funeral Home.
The Family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice Service for the love and devotion to Ron and his family. We would also like to thank all his family and friends for their prayers.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation in Ron's memory.
