Obituary for Raymond Allen Hurlbut

Raymond Allen Hurlbut, 73, a resident of Moss Bluff passed away on April 14, 2016 in a local hospital.

Raymond served in the United States Air Force for 12 years and was deployed to Thailand and Vietnam from 1968-1969 having earned the Vietnam Service Medal. He retired from DuPont as a truck driver for Sentinal Transportation. Mr. Hurlbut was currently employed as a security officer at L’Auberge.

Mr. Hurlbut is predeceased by his parents Noel Allen Hurlbut and Eula Mae Sonnier.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 53 years Eva Carol Haymon Hurlbut, two sons Allen (Rusty) Hurlbut and wife Cathy of Reeves, La, and Kirt Hurlbut and wife Kari of Baltimore , MD, daughter Kim Adomitis and husband Joe of Baton Rouge, La, three sisters Clara Sonnier of Oberlin, Charlene Dartez of Moss Bluff, and Pattie Hurlbut of Moss Bluff, seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

A viewing and celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Cremation has been entrusted to Lakeside Funeral Home.
