Jerry Wayne Rodrigue, Sr. 81, a resident of Lake Charles earned his eternal reward on March 3, 2016 surrounded by his family.

Mr. Rodrigue was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was generous to a fault putting himself before others at all times. He was a faithful church member and had accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Before his retirement, he was barber for 57 years and owned several Rodrigue Barber Shops in the Lake Area.

He is predeceased by his parents Anthony and Vivian Guillory Rodrigue, one brother and one grand daughter.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 62 years, Joyce Corkern Rodrigue, four daughters, Diane George of Lake Charles, LA, Rhonda Gremillion and husband Blaine of Mandeville, LA, Penny Newman and husband Carey of Thomasville, GA, and Ginny Thomas and husband Raju of Metarie, LA, two sons, Jerry W. Rodrigue, Jr. and wife Brenda of Kerrville, Tx, and Clay Rodrigue and Jennifer of DeRidder, LA, two sisters, Shirley Miceli and Lurline Duplechain, sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 2 PM until 7 Pm in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in the sanctuary of Lake City Baptist Church from 10 AM until time of service. Services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday. Rev. Ronnie Estes is to officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery.
